You can use tile, stone, glass, or any hard non-porous material, as long as the shower is sealed so steam cannot escape.

Hot or cold water can be used. While hot water will help slightly when it comes to producing the steam the difference is hardly noticable. With Quickstart technology available in all our units steam will begin producing in about one minute.
