  1. Preparation for Steam Bath: Before going in for the steam bath, remove any kind of jewelry or any metal objects along with your contact lens or glasses. Also remove your clothes, if possible all as the more your skin is in contact with the steam, the better it is for you. If you have to wear something, wear something very light and thin. You can start with the temperature of 150 degrees F and work upwards to 190 degrees F. Of course you can adjust it as you feel like.
  2. Shower before Steam Bath: Take a shower first before moving in the steam room. This is one of the most effective ways of taking a steam bath.
  3. Steam Bathing: Lie down and relax for a steam bath or sit while closing your eyes, breathe easily and deeply. Let the heat soak you in and try to make yourself comfortable for anywhere between 5 to 20 minutes.
  4. Cooling Down: After 20 minutes or once you start feeling uncomfortable, move out into a cooler place. Drink water and try to moisture and hydrate your body.
