SteamSpa offers a limited 2 year warranty against manufacture defects towards the generator unit. Additionally, all necessary parts and labor will be covered during the first 90 days of the system’s purchase.

Materials used for construction: Ceramic: x 1.30, Glass: x 1.35, Porcelain x 1.60, Stone x 2.00 L x W x H to determine cubic ft. (when doing cubic feet only it is recommended to purchase 1 or 2 Kw sizes larger to get to your desired temperature faster.

What material should I make my shower out of?

A.

You can use tile, stone, glass, or any hard non-porous material, as long as the shower is sealed so steam cannot escape.

  • Ceramic Tiles
  • All Glass Tiles or Glass Block Walls
  • Porcelain Tiles
  • Natural Stone Tiles up to 1/2 inch
  • Natural Stone Slabs over 1/2 inch

What is the temperature of a steam generator?

Typical steam showers are generally between 100 and 155 degrees Fahrenheit.

What is the Auto Drain?

A.

The auto drain automatically drains the system 10 minutes after you shut the generator off. It is gravity driven therefor the outlet pipe must flow down.

What is Quick start technology?

A.

 

Quick start technology starts producing steam in 1 to 2 minutes where other competitors generally take 5 or more minutes.

What is continuous steam?

A.

This feature produces a continuous quiet steam working off the DUAL TANKS in the unit. The only other generator that offers this is a thermosol. The feature also allows you to get to your desired temperature. (Thermosol is sold through SSD & HomeMartBath)

What is an inline water filter?

The inline water filter attaches to the water inlet pipe and purifies the steam removing minerals and chemicals.

What is a pressure relief valve? (This is included in all of our products)

A.

The pressure relief valve is a safety feature that will release any additional pressure while the unit is on. This is not common, but required.

Should I use hot or cold water for the water inlet?

A.

Hot or cold water can be used. While hot water will help slightly when it comes to producing the steam the difference is hardly noticable. With Quickstart technology available in all our units steam will begin producing in about one minute.

How long can you take a steam shower?

A.

Residential steam showers generally last 15-25 minutes depending on the individual.

How far away from the shower can I install the unit?

A.

We don’t recommend anything further than 25ft.
